Day
01: Upon
arrival at airport, assistance through procedures by
Misr Sinai tours representative.
Driving through
the desert to our destination at the first night. Our
first night is spent in a Bedouin tent around Wadi
Ghazala area; we have a traditional meal and camp out
under the stars.
| Day
02: We
wake with the sun and enjoy a cup of Bedouin
herbal tea. After breakfast we drive to St. Catherine Monastery
situated at the foot of Mount Sinai. A 6th
century Monastery that houses one of the most
important icons collection on earth. In addition to
the biblical site of the Burning Bush and Moses well.
After the Monastery lunch in a near by restaurant and
a chance to freshen up. In the early afternoon we set
climbing Mount Sinai, a sacred mountain for believers
of the three main monotheistic religions, where God
gave Moses the Ten Commandments. We climb three
quarters of the way up to Elijah’s plateau
where we camp for the night under the stars.
|

Day 03:
We rise at 4:00 am to climb the final section of the mountain. We arrive
at the summit – 7.500 feet above the sea level –
in time for a spectacular sunrise over the mountains
of south Sinai. Time for some tea on the top then we
return down the mountain- either by the camel path or
the “Steps of Repentance”. We have breakfast at
the restaurant and have time to freshen up. We ride
our Jeeps for a full day jeep safari to explore the
hidden world of the Sinai spectacular desert. Group
will enjoy this particular ride. We rest for lunch and
carry on to visit one of the oldest burial sites on
earth 5000 B.C. There is a chance to have a walk
through one of the
canyons around the area. We drive
back to the first night camp where we stay overnight.

Day
04: We
wake with the sun and the smell of the Bedouin cooking
bread on the open fire. After breakfast
we
tidy up our camp and start our first day on
camel back, 2.30 hours ride before lunch. People
by now trying to learn how to lead their camels
by themselves. Weird experience Lunch and rest around the pond of Mait-Malihas. The quietness and the
tranquility of the desert are another highlight
apart from the camel ride. We ride back to the
campsite where we have the opportunity to spend
some time filling in our diaries or maybe doing
some drawing.

Day
05: By now,
we are used to the desert routine and we leave our
camp on camel back once
more and walk
through
Wadi Ghazala, to the beginning of a gorge where
we get off the camels and drive them through a
near by valley and along an amazing, zigzagging
canyon. After lunch we continue on to our final
camp under the stars at an oasis called Ain El-Khodra
(biblical site identified with one of the exodus
stations of Moses). A breath taking view of huge
oasis in the middle of such stark desert. Here
we say Good Bye to the camels and drivers and
send the camels away.
| Day
06: On our final day of trekking, we have a fun
time to enjoying a combination of flat level walking;
a canyon climb and a slide down a sand dune! We meet the
coach once more and drive east through the mountains to
the Gulf of Aqaba coast and north to our hotel,
our home for the next two nights. We have an opportunity
to have a shower – a welcome experience … and there a Real
Bed! |
Day
07: A
day unwind. The hotel is located on a beautiful
beach, beside some spectacular coral reefs. We
have a chance to snorkel among the coral and
tropical fish, play beach football, volley ball
and simply sunbathe. After five nights sleeping
under the stars we have a well-deserved rest.
| Day 08:
A chance for a final swim and we have
lunch at the hotel. After lunch we leave our
hotel and drive back to the airport.
