Cairo
is often described as the "City of the 1001
nights". Where most cities
use the night to sleep, Cairo awakens to use the night
to entertain.
The streets become alive and full of ambiance as
people relax, smoke shisha and drink tea in the
numerous cafes. Restaurant
choices are wide and varied and nightclubs are
plentiful, filling
the night air with oriental music whilst a bellydancer
moves to
the exotic rhythms. Upper
Egypt houses Luxor, Aswan, Thebes, the heart of the
new kingdom. It is also rural
Egypt
where the pace is
slow and nature is
at its best. Here you can glimpse into the everyday
lives of traditional people
as well as the most grandiose monuments of ancient
Egypt .

Aswan
contains a dry climate and is located on the first
cataract of the
Nile. It forms the barrier between Egypt and
Africa.
For over 5000 years it has played an important role in
history. Aswan also offers
an insight into the Nubian culture. "The valley
of kings" in Luxor contains
the "Tomb of Tutankhamun", "Tomb of
Ramses VI" which features
an outstanding vaulted ceiling, and the "Tomb of
Seti I" the
largest and finest tomb. "The Valley of
Queens" holds over 70 tombs of the queens and
royal children of the 18th-20th dynasties. Here
you can also find the "Tomb of Nefertari"
and the "Tomb of Amun-her-khopshef".
The "Karnak Temple" contains 1300 years of
pageantry. Pharoahs from the Middle Kingdom to the
30th Dynasty built temples, obelisks, pylons
and shrines at karnak, to honor the
God "Amun Ra", "Mut"-his consort
and their son "Khonsu".
These
grandiose monuments, having existed for thousands of
years, are
inspiring and represent the wonder that Egypt is
reputed for.
Egypt
embodies the best beaches on the Mediterranean, the
best coral reefs in the world, and the best dive areas
of the Red Sea. With perfect weather all year round it
comes as no surprise
that this magnificent country is
the ideal place to relax and enjoy life.
The
Red Sea... A paradise in its own right, is one place
where one million
adventures and experiences unfold. Its turquoise color
is only
one part of this body of water's allure. This
underwater glory plays
host to the world's most beautiful coral reefs and
marine life.
Snorkeling and diving here are not to be missed, in
order to absorb the amazing plethora of colors
displayed.
The
Red Sea area contains many stunning towns, Sharm El
Sheikh, Hurghada
and Taba being the most popular. All held within the
Sinai area and along the Red Sea, they are all close
to the major sightseeing
attractions.
Sharm
El Sheikh and Hurghada are also stepping stones to
other highly
desired tourist locations. From these areas you can
easily embark
on tours to Luxor, Aswan, and Cairo.
The
most commonly performed activity within this region
however is relaxation. Sun bathing and swimming
amongst the breathtaking scenery is a pleasure in
itself. For the lovers of
more strenuous leisure options, sports activities are
plentiful. Beach volley ball and football are
popular as are ping-pong, water aerobics, and of
course all of the water sports, such as jet
skiing, banana boat riding and deep sea fishing.
